Raegan Revord has grown from a talented child performer into one of the most recognizable young actors associated with American television. Best known for playing Melissa “Missy” Cooper on the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon, Revord spent years bringing humor, confidence, vulnerability, and sibling energy to the Cooper family. As their audience has grown, searches for Raegan Revord age, height, net worth, family, relationship status, Instagram, and career have naturally increased.
So, how old is Raegan Revord in 2026? Revord was born on January 3, 2008, in San Diego, California, which makes them 18 years old as of September 2026. Their January birthday also means their zodiac sign is Capricorn. Official CBS/Paramount biographical material confirms the January 3 birthday and San Diego birthplace.
Although television viewers primarily associate Revord with Missy Cooper, acting is only one part of their developing creative career. After Young Sheldon, Revord continued appearing as Missy in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. They have also established themselves as an avid reader, book-club creator, and published author. Their debut young-adult novel, Rules for Fake Girlfriends, was released in 2025.
Revord publicly confirmed in 2025 that they are nonbinary and use they/them pronouns. This article therefore uses those pronouns while exploring their age, early life, career, family, personal life, estimated wealth, social-media presence, hobbies, and future prospects.
Who Is Raegan Revord?
Raegan Revord is an American actor and author who became internationally recognizable through the role of Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon. Born on January 3, 2008, Revord is 18 years old in 2026 and has already accumulated years of professional entertainment experience despite their young age.
Revord’s entertainment career started long before Young Sheldon. CBS’s biography notes that they landed an early recurring role as Megan on Modern Family at age six. Other early credits included appearances in Grace and Frankie, W/ Bob & David, Teachers, and the movie Wish Upon.
Their career changed dramatically when they were cast as Missy Cooper, the twin sister of Sheldon Cooper, in Young Sheldon. The series premiered in 2017 and ultimately ran for seven seasons. Missy became an important part of the Cooper family dynamic, allowing Revord to develop the character from childhood into adolescence.
Outside acting, Revord has developed a strong interest in literature. They created the Read With Raegan book community and later expanded their writing interests into professional publishing. Macmillan identifies Revord as the author of Rules for Fake Girlfriends and notes their work on both Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Early Life and Background
Raegan Revord was born on January 3, 2008, in San Diego, California. They moved to Los Angeles with their family while still very young, putting them close to the center of the American film and television industry.
Their interest in performing emerged early. Rather than waiting until their teenage years to explore acting, Revord began working professionally as a child and appeared in commercials and television productions.
One of their earliest significant television opportunities was the recurring role of Megan on Modern Family. They subsequently gained experience through projects including Grace and Frankie, W/ Bob & David, and Teachers.
Revord is an only child, which makes their long-running portrayal of a character with brothers particularly interesting. Their Young Sheldon role placed them inside a fictional family in which sibling relationships were central to many storylines.
Books also became an important part of Revord’s life. Their enthusiasm for reading eventually developed into Read With Raegan, a book-focused online community.
Revord has additionally participated in charitable causes. CBS has previously identified them as a Junior Ambassador for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, while their public biography has highlighted an interest in animal rescue.
These early experiences created a foundation extending beyond acting. By age 18, Revord had already built experience across television, publishing, social media, reading advocacy, and charitable activity.
Personal Life and Relationships
Raegan Revord has attracted considerable public interest because they spent much of their childhood appearing on a highly visible television series. However, their professional visibility should not be confused with complete public access to their private life.
As of 2026, there is no widely verified public announcement establishing that Revord is married or has a publicly confirmed romantic partner. Consequently, online searches for “Raegan Revord boyfriend,” “Raegan Revord girlfriend,” or “Raegan Revord relationship” should be treated carefully when they rely on speculation rather than direct confirmation.
Revord publicly confirmed in 2025 that they are nonbinary and use they/them pronouns. During coverage of that announcement, Revord discussed representation and being open about their identity.
Family has also played a meaningful role in their journey. Public biographical sources identify Revord as an only child, and IMDb lists Holly Revord as a parent.
Away from Hollywood sets, Revord is particularly interested in books and animals. Macmillan’s author biography states that they live in Los Angeles with five rescue pets, reflecting their publicly expressed enthusiasm for animal rescue.
At only 18, Revord has plenty of time to determine how much of their personal life they want to share. For readers, the most reliable approach is to distinguish confirmed public information from rumors circulating through celebrity websites and social media.
Career and Achievement
Raegan Revord’s career began at a remarkably young age. Early professional experience included commercials and television appearances, with a recurring role as Megan on Modern Family providing valuable exposure.
They subsequently appeared in productions such as Grace and Frankie, W/ Bob & David, Teachers, and Wish Upon. These projects helped Revord gain experience before the role that transformed their career.
That breakthrough came with Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon. Beginning in 2017, Revord played Sheldon’s twin sister throughout the show’s seven-season run. Missy’s quick wit and emotional awareness frequently provided a contrast to her academically gifted twin brother.
The role also changed as Revord grew older. Missy evolved from a young child into a teenager dealing with family changes, relationships, independence, and the complications surrounding the Cooper household.
Following the conclusion of Young Sheldon in 2024, Revord remained connected to the franchise by appearing as Missy in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
Perhaps the most important development outside television has been Revord’s writing career. Their debut YA novel, Rules for Fake Girlfriends, was published in September 2025.
Publishing a novel established Revord as more than a former child actor. Their combination of acting, writing, and book-community involvement suggests a broader creative career rather than dependence on a single television character.
Net Worth Overview
Raegan Revord’s exact personal wealth is not publicly disclosed, and online estimates vary substantially. This is important because celebrity net-worth figures are generally estimates rather than audited financial statements.
As of September 15, 2026, Celebrity Net Worth estimates Raegan Revord’s net worth at $2 million. However, other entertainment publications have published significantly lower figures, demonstrating why the number should not be treated as confirmed financial information.
| Net Worth Factor | 2026 Overview |
|---|---|
| Estimated Net Worth | Around $2 million |
| Primary Career | Acting |
| Major TV Role | Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon |
| Additional TV Work | Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and earlier roles |
| Publishing | Author of Rules for Fake Girlfriends |
| Social Media | Large Instagram audience |
| Other Potential Income | Promotional partnerships and appearances |
| Financial Disclosure | N/A |
The safest way to describe Raegan Revord’s net worth in 2026 is therefore as an outside estimate rather than an established fact.
Their longest-running professional asset has been acting. Seven seasons on a successful network sitcom provided sustained employment and major industry visibility.
Publishing has now created another possible revenue stream. Book advances, royalties, future publishing agreements, and related appearances could contribute to Revord’s income, although their specific contract terms are private.
Their sizable social audience also creates commercial opportunities. HypeAuditor reported roughly 2.2 million Instagram followers in September 2026, although third-party estimates of social-media earnings should similarly be viewed as modeled figures rather than verified income.
Major Sources of Income
Raegan Revord has developed multiple potential income streams despite being only 18 years old. Acting remains the foundation, but publishing and a large digital audience have broadened their professional profile.
- Television Acting: Revord’s biggest source of career visibility has been television. Their seven-season run as Missy Cooper on Young Sheldon represents the most substantial acting project of their career to date.
- Other Acting Roles: Before and after Young Sheldon, Revord appeared in other television and film productions. These include Modern Family, Grace and Frankie, Teachers, Wish Upon, and appearances connected with Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
- Book Publishing: Revord’s debut novel, Rules for Fake Girlfriends, expanded their career into publishing. Authors can earn through advances and royalties, although Revord’s individual publishing finances have not been publicly disclosed.
- Social Media: Their Instagram presence gives Revord a direct connection with a large audience. As of September 2026, third-party analytics indicate an audience of approximately 2.2 million followers.
- Promotional Opportunities: A recognizable television actor with a substantial online following may receive opportunities involving promotional partnerships, events, interviews, and campaigns. Specific deals should only be considered confirmed when publicly announced.
The key point is that Revord is no longer dependent solely on acting. Writing and their book-centered online community have opened additional possibilities for long-term income and creative independence.
Raegan Revord Luxurious Lifestyle
Celebrity success often leads readers to assume that every successful young actor lives an extravagant lifestyle filled with mansions, luxury cars, and expensive vacations. In Raegan Revord’s case, there is little reliable public evidence supporting that kind of characterization.
Revord’s public image is more closely connected with acting, books, writing, pets, and creative projects than with displays of extreme wealth.
Macmillan’s biography says Revord lives in Los Angeles with five rescue pets. Their advocacy for rescued animals has also been a recurring part of their public profile.
Their social presence frequently connects with entertainment work and literary interests. Through Read With Raegan, they have cultivated a community based on books, recommendations, discussions, and authors.
This doesn’t mean Revord cannot enjoy the benefits that come with professional success. A long-running network television role and publishing career can certainly provide financial opportunities.
However, claims about expensive houses, luxury-car collections, designer wardrobes, or other major personal assets should not be presented as facts without evidence.
For that reason, Revord’s lifestyle can more accurately be described as a young creative professional’s Los Angeles lifestyle, centered publicly around acting, writing, reading, pets, friends, and entertainment-industry activities.
Hobbies and Fun Facts
There is considerably more to Raegan Revord than their role as Missy Cooper. Their interests reveal a strong connection to literature, animals, creativity, and community work.
- Passionate Reader: Reading is one of Revord’s best-known interests outside acting. Their enthusiasm eventually inspired them to build an online community dedicated to books.
- Created Read With Raegan: Revord launched Read With Raegan, which provides a space for readers to discover books and participate in literary conversations. Macmillan says the book club was launched in 2022.
- Published Author: Revord turned their love of books into a professional writing career with Rules for Fake Girlfriends, released in 2025.
- Animal Lover: Revord is known for supporting animal rescue. Their current Macmillan biography states that they share their Los Angeles home with five rescue pets.
- Only Child: Unlike Missy Cooper, who grows up alongside brothers Sheldon and Georgie, Revord is an only child in real life.
- Started Young: Revord was already working professionally at an age when most children were only beginning elementary school. CBS’s biography notes an early recurring Modern Family role at age six.
- San Diego Native: Although closely associated with Los Angeles and Hollywood, Revord was born in San Diego, California.
- Capricorn: Their January 3 birthday places them under the Capricorn zodiac sign.
- Missy and Sheldon Aren’t Real Twins: Revord and Iain Armitage convincingly portrayed twins, but they were born months apart in real life.
- Interested in Charity: Revord has been involved with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as a Junior Ambassador.
- Career Beyond Acting: Becoming a published novelist before turning 18 demonstrated that Revord’s creative ambitions extend beyond performing scripts written by others.
These interests have helped Revord develop a public identity separate from Missy Cooper, which could become increasingly important as they enter adulthood.
Future Prospects
Raegan Revord’s transition from child actor to adult creative professional is one of the most interesting stages of their career. Their next few years could determine how broadly they expand beyond the character that first made them famous.
- New Acting Roles: Revord now has years of sitcom experience and a recognizable screen presence, giving them a foundation for pursuing comedy, drama, independent films, streaming productions, or other television roles.
- More Books: Publishing Rules for Fake Girlfriends established Revord as a professional author. Their literary career gives them an avenue that can develop independently from Hollywood.
- Growth of Read With Raegan: Their book community could continue expanding through author interviews, recommendations, events, publishing collaborations, and other literary projects.
- Creative Development: Experience in both acting and writing could eventually lead Revord toward screenwriting, producing, adaptation work, or other behind-the-camera roles.
- Social-Media Growth: With an Instagram audience already measured in the millions, Revord has a significant platform for promoting future acting and publishing projects.
At 18, Revord is still at the beginning of adulthood. Their existing credits provide a substantial foundation, but their career does not have to remain defined by childhood success on Young Sheldon.
Impact on Social Media
Social media has played an important role in helping Raegan Revord establish an identity beyond traditional television.
Their primary Instagram account is @raeganrevord, the same handle listed in CBS/Paramount’s official biography.
By September 2026, third-party analytics platform HypeAuditor reported approximately 2.2 million Instagram followers for the account. Follower totals fluctuate constantly, so the figure should be viewed as a snapshot rather than a permanent number.
Revord’s digital presence benefits from several overlapping audiences. Some followers discovered them through Young Sheldon, while others follow their literary activities, personal updates, animal advocacy, or newer projects.
Read With Raegan has been particularly important in differentiating their online identity from Missy Cooper. Instead of simply using fame to build a general celebrity account, Revord has created a book-oriented community based around an established personal interest.
Their growing publishing career also gives social media another purpose. Instagram can connect readers directly with news about books, appearances, interviews, and future releases.
As Revord’s career evolves, social platforms are likely to remain an important bridge connecting their television audience with their newer identity as an author and adult creative professional.
